CFG Retirement

About

History

Serving the Twin Cities since 1974.

Eldon Oldre founded CFG Insurance Services (different than CFG Retirement) in Minnetonka with his brother to help people plan insurance, financial, and retirement needs. It was one of the largest independent insurance and financial brokerages in the state of Minnesota when Eldon decided to sell due to a cancer scare. At the time, his son Vince, was only age 15 at the time and had no idea he had any interest. He soon became a coach, consultant, and board member of CFG Retirement (formerly Assured Retirement Group) after Vince decided to start his own firm in 2015.

Vince is carrying on his father’s legacy.

Continuing the tradition of service.

Vince wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps since junior high. After years as a financial planner at an insurance company, he became a financial advisor and started his own practice, Assured Retirement Group. He has renamed it CFG Retirement in honor of his father.

Why Us

CFG Retirement is different.

We don’t strive to be the biggest advisory firm. Instead, we strive to deliver the best service and financial advice to our clients. We focus on getting to know the people that we serve and what they want to do in retirement.

It’s your retirement, not ours.

Our family has learned from our decades in the business is that there is no “one size fits all” approach to financial planning. We know we’re not just working with investments, we’re helping unique individuals retire in confidence.

Vincent L. Oldre, CFP

Financial Advisor and Retirement Planner

The son of a successful financial services entrepreneur, Vince developed an interest in the industry at an early age and it wasn’t long before he decided that he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps.

After graduating from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Vince began his financial services career at an insurance company. Shortly after, he obtained his Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation and became involved in financial planning. Several years later, he opened his own advisory practice so that he could work with clients directly.

The goal of the firm is to create retirement plans where clients can keep creating memories with their loved ones while not worrying about the financials.
