In 1974, Eldon Oldre founded CFG Insurance Services with his brother to help people plan their insurance, financial and retirement needs. It became one of the largest independent insurance and financial brokerages in Minnesota before Eldon decided to sell due to a cancer scare.
Today, Vince Oldre carries on his father’s legacy. After years as a financial planner, he started CFG Retirement, choosing that name to honor his father and the profound impact he had on families in the Twin Cities for nearly three decades.

Since opening in 2015, CFG Retirement has operated with a client-first approach to financial planning. We don’t strive to be the biggest advisory firm. Instead, we seek to deliver the best service and financial advice to our clients. We focus on getting to know the people we serve and what they want to do in retirement.
Our family has learned from our decades in the business that there is no one-size-fits-all approach to financial planning. We know we’re not just working with investments; we’re helping unique individuals enjoy a confident retirement.

The son of a successful financial services entrepreneur, Vince grew up watching Eldon Oldre make a meaningful difference in the community and in the lives of his clients. Vince developed an interest in the industry at an early age, and it wasn’t long before he decided he wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps.
After graduating from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, Vince began his financial services career at an insurance company. Shortly after, he obtained his CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation and became involved in financial planning. Several years later, he opened his own advisory practice so that he could work with clients directly. The goal of the firm is to create retirement plans where clients can keep creating memories with their loved ones while not worrying about the financials.

A lifelong Minnesotan, Vince lives in Eden Prairie with his wife, Emily, and their two sons. He enjoys spending family time on the lake, having bonfires with friends and, occasionally, taking his dad’s old cars for a spin at the racetrack.
